In Mykolaiv, a Hyundai ran over a five-year-old boy on a scooter
A five-year-old boy was hospitalized; investigators are determining the circumstances of the traffic accident
13 August at approximately 13:30 in Mykolaiv the driver of a Hyundai car on the residential driveway struck a five-year-old boy who was on a scooter. The traffic accident occurred in the area of building 6 on Velyka Morska Street.
As a result of the crash, the child was taken to a medical facility, where he was subsequently hospitalized.
Police are currently establishing the circumstances and causes of the traffic accident. Investigators have provisionally classified the incident under the elements of a criminal offense provided for in Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of traffic safety rules or the operation of transport by persons who drive vehicles.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment of up to three years restriction of liberty.
