In Mykolaiv, a car ran over a very young boy on a scooter
A five-year-old boy was hospitalized after a traffic accident
In Mykolaiv on July 19 at about 14:30 a car hit a five-year-old boy who was on a scooter.
The accident occurred in the area of building No. 124 on Kosmonavtiv Street. According to the police, a 31-year-old driver of a Renault Duster was moving along the residential driveway and struck the child.
The boy was taken to a medical facility and then hospitalized. Police are establishing the circumstances and causes of the road accident.
Investigators have provisionally classified the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation by persons driving vehicles. The sanction under the article provides for up to three years’ restriction of liberty.
