Mykolaiv draughts player Matvii Kolesnikov won two gold medals at the European Championship

Mykolaiv athlete Matviy Kolesnikov won two gold medals at the European Draughts-100 Championship among cadets under 16 years old.

This was reported by Dmytro Horoshenko, Vice President of the Mykolaiv Region Chess Federation.

The competition took place from August 1 to 9 in Tallinn. In the classical event Kolesnikov scored 15 out of 18 possible points, and in blitz — 16 out of 18.

The athlete is a graduate of the Mykolaiv Municipal Youth Sports School (MO DYUSSH) “OSShK” named after M. V. Shelest.
