To ensure roads are repaired properly: in the Mykolaiv region they are ready to pay UAH 816,700 for oversight

State Enterprise “Agency of Local Roads of Mykolaiv Oblast” has announced a procurement of UAH 816,666.67 for engineering and technical supervision of the operational maintenance of local roads. This refers not to direct repairs, but to oversight of how road works are performed.

The tender UA-2026-08-05-009017-a was announced on 5 August 2026, according to the Prozorro system. The expected cost of services is UAH 816,666.67 excluding VAT. The procurement is being conducted as an open tender with special conditions.

The future contractor must provide engineering and technical supervision of the operational maintenance of public roads of local importance in Mykolaiv Oblast.

In practice, specialists are to monitor the quality of road works, their compliance with technical documentation, construction standards, and the terms of concluded contracts.

The list includes local roads in the Bashtanskyi, Voznesenskyi, Mykolaivskyi and Pervomaiskyi districts. The total length of the network covered by maintenance operations is 3,316.3 km. This includes inter-settlement roads as well as access roads to villages, settlements and other facilities in the oblast. The same length is indicated in the main procurement for the maintenance of local roads.

Engineering and technical supervision services must be provided until 1 July 2027. Proposals from potential participants are accepted until 13 August 2026, and the auction is scheduled for 14 August.

At the same time, the amount allocated for maintaining the road network is much larger. On 10 July 2026, SE “Agency of Local Roads of Mykolaiv Oblast” announced a separate tender for the operational maintenance of the same 3,316.3 km of local roads. The expected cost of that procurement was UAH 820,772,002 excluding VAT.

Thus, separately from the hundreds of millions of hryvnias allocated directly for road maintenance, the Agency plans to spend up to UAH 816.7 thousand on engineering and technical control over the execution of these works.
