The government demands full readiness of schools: completion of shelters, new school buses
In Ukraine, from September 1 teachers’ pay will be increased by 20%, student scholarships will be doubled, and more than 3 million schoolchildren will be provided with free meals, announced Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi.
The head of the Cabinet informed about these government decisions on his Telegram channel, adding that all educational institutions must complete preparations for the new academic year by September 1 read more.
According to the head of government, the priority remains the safety of pupils and teachers: shelters in schools are being equipped, and communities are providing school buses to safely transport children.
Despite Russian strikes on printing houses and warehouses, authorities emphasize that all schoolchildren must receive textbooks on time in order to start classes without delays.
“All issues that still require refinement must be finally resolved before the start of the school year,” — said Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi.
