In Mykolaiv Oblast, a Volkswagen ran off into a ditch: a 16-year-old passenger was injured
An accident occurred near Novyi Buh, the injured person is in the hospital
3 August at about 09:40 on highway N-11 “Dnipro–Mykolaiv” near the town of Novyi Buh a road traffic accident occurred. The 39-year-old driver of a Volkswagen Golf lost control, as a result of which the car ran off into a ditch.
As a result of the crash a 16-year-old passenger of the vehicle was injured. The victim was hospitalized. Doctors currently assess his condition as stable.
On the fact of violation of traffic safety rules or the operation of transport by persons who drive vehicles, investigators of Investigation Department No. 1 of the Bashtanka District Police Department have opened a pre-trial investigation under part 1 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment of up to three years restriction of liberty with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
Police are establishing all the circumstances and causes of the crash.
