Danger is rising: new streets and neighborhoods in Kherson have been added to the evacuation zone
Some districts will be closed to families with children
At a meeting of the Defense Council of Kherson Oblast, the list of territories whose residents are subject to mandatory evacuation was expanded due to the ongoing threat of Russian shelling and drone attacks.
The decision of July 17, 2026 was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Olexandr Prokudin.
The expanded mandatory evacuation zone now includes the settlements of the Khreshchenivskyi starostyn district, the village of Charivne and the settlement of Zelenivka.
In Kherson itself, the evacuation will cover the microdistrict “Tekstylnyi”, as well as certain streets in the Central, Korabelnyi and Dnipro districts.
Specifically, this concerns Universytetska, Teatralna, Biloruska and Komunalna streets, as well as streets and lanes located toward the Koshova and Dnipro rivers.
A ban on the entry of families with children will also be introduced in these territories. This restriction is explained by the direct threat to the lives of minors.
This is not the first expansion of the evacuation zone in Kherson Oblast in 2026. In February, due to intensified Russian shelling, the authorities expanded the areas of mandatory departure for families with children in the Dnipro district of Kherson, Komyshany and Pryozerne.
