Today the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced on his Telegram channel his decision to dismiss Yuliia Svyrydenko from the post of prime minister and announced a renewal of the government’s composition.
“I am grateful to Yuliia for her clear, steady, and effective work as prime minister, for years of productive service on Ukraine’s team, and I have offered her to head a new significant direction in relations with a key partner. I expect that, together with parliamentarians, we will carry out the appropriate replacements in the government of Ukraine,” said Volodymyr Zelensky.
The head of state explained that the planned rotations are intended to ensure implementation of an updated political strategy, and he emphasized the need for coordinated decisions with parliament.
Separately, the president announced changes among the heads of law enforcement agencies, without disclosing details regarding specific candidates or timing.
The message was published in the official account of the head of state on Telegram, which also stresses readiness for further steps in the personnel policy of the Ukrainian government. Source: Telegram channel of Volodymyr Zelensky.
People’s Deputy of Ukraine Yaroslav Zheleznyak suggested the possibility of appointing Yuliia Svyrydenko as ambassador to the United States of America, emphasizing that this decision could be part of a broader diplomatic reshuffle.
Yuliia Svyrydenko led the government for only a year, after which she announced her resignation, which became the precondition for the announced renewal of the executive branch.
