You don't have to go to the TCC, but only until July 31: what young men born in 2009 must do

Young men born in 2009, who will turn 17 in 2026, must register for conscription by 31 July 2026. While the established period is in effect, the mandatory procedure can be completed remotely via the “Reserv+” app — without queues, paper documents, medical examination, or personal visits to the Territorial Centers for Recruitment and Social Support.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Online registration is available only to those registering for military records for the first time. Young men born in 2009 can use it until July 31.

To complete the procedure you need to install the “Reserv+” app or update it to the latest version, authorize via BankID, select the “Register” function and wait for the automatic processing of the request. Authorization via BankID assumes that the user has a bank account and access to their bank’s mobile app or online banking portal.

Before sending the request you must check the personal data displayed on the screen. After successful completion of the procedure, an electronic military registration document will appear in “Reserv+” — a Reserv ID with the status “Conscript”. For citizens aged 17 to 24 who are registering for the first time, this is the status shown in the app.

You should not delay. According to the law, male citizens of Ukraine who turn 17 during the year must register for military records in the period from 1 January to 31 July. This can be done via the electronic cabinet or by personally appearing at the district or city Territorial Centers for Recruitment and Social Support.

After this deadline the possibility to undergo initial registration remotely for young men born in 2009 ends. From 1 August 2026 those who did not manage to meet the requirement will be able to register only after personally arriving at the district or city Territorial Centers for Recruitment and Social Support. This provision is directly stipulated by the government order on conducting military registration.

Registration for military records is carried out without referral to a military medical commission. It also does not mean automatic conscription into military service — this is a mandatory administrative procedure, after which the young man’s data are entered into the Unified State Register of conscripts, those liable for military service, and reservists “Obereg”.

The electronic military registration document obtained may be required when entering an educational institution, enrolling in upper grades, seeking employment, processing documents, and obtaining certain state services. Educational institutions have the right to verify it via QR code, but they cannot demand the paper conscription document if the young man has a valid electronic military registration document.

Young men born in 2009 who are already on the military register do not need to repeat the procedure. The online service is also not intended for persons who were previously removed from the register: they must contact the Territorial Centers for Recruitment and Social Support in person to restore their data.
