In a video address posted on a social network, the head of the regional military administration, Vitaliy Kim, reported that Russian forces have identified gas stations as one of the targets of attacks in Mykolaiv region and outlined planned steps to strengthen public safety.

The official emphasized that the enemy considers gas stations as potential targets, but such strikes have no military purpose and are aimed only at applying psychological pressure on civilians.

According to him, authorities are deploying additional alerting and response mechanisms. In particular, an operational chat with gas station owners is being set up to instantly relay information about the threat of air strikes.

It is planned that in case of danger gas station employees will immediately cease operations and evacuate people from the premises.

Kim also appealed to residents of the region, asking them not to be at gas stations during air raid alerts and to carefully follow official messages from the responsible services.

“The Russians have identified them as targets and allocated certain means to hit them. So this will happen in the near future, because the Russians want to do it. We shoot them down, but there is a risk,” Vitaliy Kim concluded.

Earlier, a second Shahed strike on a gas station in the Mykolaiv region that day was reported — more details at the link.
