A Chilean shot dead two Colombians in Mykolaiv: all three were legionnaires of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The suspect was detained, the weapon was seized
In the evening of 30 June 2026 on Heroes of Ukraine Avenue in Mykolaiv there was a shooting in an Opel car, as a result of which two men were killed.
According to witnesses, several shots were fired while the car was moving, after which the Opel drove into a traffic-controlled intersection.
As the Mykolaiv Oblast police reported, there were 3 foreign nationals in the car. Two of them died, and law enforcement detained the third participant in the incident. Firearms were seized from the car.
Investigators, forensic experts and operatives worked at the scene. Police are establishing all the circumstances of the shooting and are deciding on the legal qualification of the incident.

Later the outlet PN, citing its own sources, reported that all 3 participants in the conflict were foreign servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the media, the detained man is a citizen of Chile, and the two deceased – citizens of Colombia.
Preliminarily, the conflict arose while the car was moving. A citizen of Chile who was sitting in the back seat shot one of the Colombians in the back of the head and fatally wounded the other.
The cause of the conflict is currently unknown. It is also being established how the driver ended up outside the car after the shots.
Officially, the police have not yet reported the participants’ citizenship, their affiliation with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, or the motive for the shooting.
