In the Odesa region, a 47-year-old man threw a kitten from the sixth floor that he had bought the day before
The incident in the Tairivska community was revealed by a video on social media; the man showed signs of intoxication, and his actions were qualified under Part 1 of Article 299 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine
In the Odesa region, the police are investigating animal cruelty: on Monday, June 8, in one of the settlements of the Tairivska community a local resident threw a kitten out of a window of a multi-storey building, as a result of which the animal died.
The police reported that the reason for the response appeared after a video showing the dead kitten was found on social networks.
Arriving at the scene, law enforcement officers found a 47-year-old man showing signs of alcohol intoxication and preliminarily established that he had thrown the animal from the window of the 6th floor of the residential complex.
According to the investigation, the man had purchased the cat the day before, and he explained his act by saying that the animal annoyed him and allegedly caused damage at home.
The kitten died at the scene from the injuries sustained.
Information has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations (ЄРДР) under Part 1 of Article 299 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine; this crime is punishable by imprisonment, and investigators are currently establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
