A serviceman nicknamed "Bozhenka", the admin of a Telegram channel for draft evaders, will stand trial
While absent without leave from the unit, he published the locations of ТЦК and СП, which impeded the timely rotation of units on the front line
In the Mykolaiv region, an indictment has been sent to court against a serviceman who, under the pseudonym «Bozhenka», administered a Telegram channel and aided evasion of mobilization.
According to the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the field of defense of the Southern Region, he is accused of obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations during a special period, committed by prior conspiracy of a group of persons, under part 2 of art.28, part 1 of art.114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The investigation found that in August 2025 the accused, while being absent without leave from his unit, joined the administration of an online community where data about locations of mobilization events were published, using the pseudonyms «Aleks» and «Bozhenka» to conceal his identity.
From August 2025 to March 2026 he moderated and controlled the channel’s operation, approved the rules and personally disseminated information about the whereabouts of representatives of the TCC and SP, and the number of the resource’s subscribers exceeded 34 thousand people.
According to the prosecution, such actions facilitated the evasion of service by those liable for military service and complicated the timely rotation of units at the front.
The accused is being held in custody, materials concerning other involved persons have been separated into a separate proceeding, and the pre-trial investigation was carried out by the SBU Directorate in Mykolaiv Oblast.
The sanction of the charged article provides for punishment of up to 8 years’ imprisonment.
