The last day of spring in the Mykolaiv region broke cold records — new lows since 1986

The last day of spring in the Mykolaiv region passed with record-low temperatures.

In the Mykolaiv region on the night of May 31, abnormally low air temperatures for this time of year were recorded.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Center for Hydrometeorology.

According to meteorological stations, minimum temperatures in some locations dropped to values that became record-low for this date over the observation period from 1986 to 2025. At certain stations, previous absolute minimum air temperature records were broken.

Meteorologists note that the recorded values indicate the arrival of cold air and an unusually cool end to spring 2026.
