Conflict in the garage: four stab wounds over money for a dose
The victim was hospitalized with serious injuries
At the Central District Court of Mykolaiv, a preventive measure was imposed on a 53-year-old local resident who is suspected of inflicting serious stab wounds on his acquaintance: the man has been remanded in custody without the right to bail.
The court’s press service reported on the consideration of the motion and the results of the hearing.
According to investigators, the incident occurred in one of the garage cooperatives of the Raketne Urochysche microdistrict: the suspect was in the garage with the victim when a conflict broke out between them.
During the quarrel the suspect produced a knife and inflicted at least 4 stab wounds to the chest area of his opponent, after which the victim was hospitalized with serious bodily injuries.
The prosecutor’s office noted that the suspect had previously been repeatedly held criminally liable, and according to investigators, both men were using narcotic substances in the garage, and the fight was sparked by the victim’s refusal to give money.
At the court hearing the suspect refused to give substantive testimony in the criminal proceedings.
The investigative judge Ivan Dirko ordered pre-trial detention without the right to post bail.
