A 32-year-old woman was detained in the Chernihiv region who is suspected of trafficking her child.
This was reported by the National Police.
According to the investigation, the suspect, motivated by personal gain, used one of her minor daughters for sexual exploitation.
She has now been detained under Article 615 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and placed in custody.
Investigators have notified the woman of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 149 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article’s sanction provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of eight to fifteen years with confiscation of property or without it.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
