Drones struck Mykolaiv region again: residential and administrative buildings damaged

According to the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, as of the morning of 16 May 2026, over the past day Russian forces again attacked the Mykolaiv Oblast with unmanned aerial vehicles.

The enemy used Shahed-type UAVs across the oblast. As a result of the attack in the city of Ochakiv, an administrative building was damaged, windows in two apartment buildings and one private house were shattered. According to the regional military administration, there are no casualties in Ochakiv.

In the Bashtanskyi district, Russian forces twice attacked the Snihurivka community with strike drones, reportedly of the “Molniya” type. There were also no casualties there.

In practice, the enemy continues the tactic of drone pressure on frontline and coastal communities of Mykolaiv Oblast. Civilian facilities were again struck, although the official report for the day contained no information about the wounded.
