Her son fought, and she also went to serve: a medic from the Mykolaiv region received a state award
Vana returned from Germany to Ukraine and immediately went to serve
A native of Kazanka, Mykolaiv Oblast, Senior Sergeant Tetyana Volyntseva was awarded the Order of Princess Olha 3rd class.
This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional TCC and SP.
Currently Tetyana Volyntseva serves in the 23rd Separate Mechanized Brigade as the senior nurse of the evacuation unit.
She has a medical education, and at the beginning of the full-scale invasion she worked in Germany. In January 2023 she returned to Ukraine, where by that time her son was already fighting. A few days after returning she personally went to the TCC and SP, and later joined the newly formed 23rd Separate Mechanized Brigade.
Since 2023, Tetyana Volyntseva has been carrying out duties at a stabilization point and, when needed, accompanies severely wounded servicemen during evacuation. During this time she has helped save numerous lives of Ukrainian defenders.
The high state award was presented to the senior sergeant by the commander of the 20th Army Corps of the Operational Command “South” of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Brigadier General Sviatoslav Zaets.
For Mykolaiv Oblast, this is another story about people who could have remained in relative safety but returned home to be alongside the military and bring the Ukrainian Victory closer every day.
