Despite the declared ceasefire, Russia attacked: an Iskander-M and 43 drones

On the night of May 9, Russian forces attacked Ukraine, using a ballistic missile «Iskander-M» and 43 strike drones of the Shahed type, «Herbera», «Italmas» and «Parodiya» imitators, despite the previously announced truce.

The mass raid was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, publishing details in its message on Telegram.

Launches were carried out from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo, and also from occupied Crimea.

The air attack was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, and mobile air-defense fire groups.

As of 08:00 Ukrainian air defense was able to shoot down or suppress 34 enemy UAVs. At the same time, a hit by one missile and another 9 strike drones were recorded across 6 locations, and debris fell in 2 places.

Earlier Ukraine announced a three-day ceasefire and a prisoner exchange, which was officially declared.
