Child among the injured: on the "Dnipro - Mykolaiv" highway a minibus collided with a truck

In the Mykolaiv region, a road traffic accident occurred involving a truck and a suburban route minibus. This was reported by the Mykolaiv Oblast Police. The crash happened on May 6, 2026, at approximately 13:30 on highway N-11 “Dnipro – Mykolaiv” near the village of Mykhailo-Laryne of the Voskresenske community.

According to preliminary information, a DAF tractor-trailer driven by a 24-year-old man collided with a suburban route minibus “Ruta” that was operating the route “Mykolaiv – Peresadivka”. The minibus was driven by a 60-year-old driver. As a result of the accident, five people were injured: the minibus driver and four passengers. The ages of the injured range from 7 to 67 years. The victims with varying degrees of bodily injuries were taken to medical facilities.

Investigators have provisionally classified the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of traffic safety rules or the operation of a vehicle by persons who drive vehicles. The article’s sanction provides for up to three years of restriction of liberty.

Law enforcement officers are currently establishing all the circumstances of the accident.

The police appealed to citizens who were witnesses to the accident or have any information about its circumstances to report it to the Department for Investigation of Crimes in the Field of Transport of the investigative department by phone: 093-429-91-63 or 102.
