Six fires in the Mykolaiv region in 24 hours: in Mykolaiv a summer house, garbage in an open area, and a tree caught fire
Spring arrives with fires: once again both the reeds and the huts are burning
23 April 2026, six fires were recorded on the territory of the Mykolaiv Oblast, three of which occurred in the residential sector.
In the city Mykolaiv a dacha (summer house) that is currently unused caught fire. The fire was extinguished over an area of 20 sq.m.
In the village of Pankratove of the Pivdennoukrainsk city community, an outbuilding attached to a residential house caught fire. The flames covered 30 sq.m, but rescuers managed to prevent the spread of the fire and save two residential houses.
Another fire occurred in the city of Ochakiv, where a sauna on the grounds of a private household caught fire. Emergency responders extinguished the blaze over an area of 32 sq.m.
In addition, three other cases were related to burning in open areas (including reeds and garbage). Two incidents were recorded in the city of Mykolaiv (burning garbage in an open area and a tree), and one — in the village of Lymanske of the Berezan community in Mykolaiv district.
A total of 28 rescuers and 7 units of DSNS special equipment were involved in extinguishing the fires.
