"Take the gun, now we'll shoot at the legs" - threats, fall from the roof: a new scandal over TCK's lies has erupted
Fleeing, shoving and threats on camera: a new mobilization incident revealed the level of tension on the home front
In the village of Strumivka near Lutsk, a high-profile incident occurred involving representatives of the TCC and SP, the police, and a man who, according to the military’s account, tried to avoid a document check. In videos that circulated online, you can hear a serviceman speaking Russian threatening to shoot the man in the legs, as well as those filming the incident. This was reported by local media on April 23, 2026.
The Volyn TCC and SP said that during joint public-notification activities, representatives of the recruitment center together with police discovered a car whose driver, upon seeing the group, allegedly began to avoid inspection and did not respond to lawful demands to stop. After that, the man left the car, ran onto the grounds of a private property and climbed onto the roof of a house.
The serviceman also threatened those present in Russian:
“Kids, we’ll take everyone who’s filming.
I’m telling you, we’ll come to you, we’ll come in. Put the cameras away!
… Grab the gun, we’re going to fucking shoot at the legs”.
According to the TCC, while on the roof the man asked for help because of a fear of heights, but at the same time avoided contact with the servicemen. For a safe descent he was given a ladder, which he pulled up himself, but for a long time did not dare to use it. During attempts to establish contact and help him come down, a scuffle broke out between the man and a serviceman, after which both fell from the roof.
After this, as the Volyn TCC and SP claim, the citizen admitted that he deliberately avoided communication because he is wanted for violating military registration rules. He has now been taken to the TCC and SP to undergo a military-medical commission. The agency also stated that he did not suffer any bodily injuries.
The story quickly went viral not only because of the rooftop escape itself, but also because of the overall tension around the topic of mobilization. In this context any use of force instantly triggers a new wave of distrust, suspicion and public outrage, especially when threats are audible in the video and the official version sharply contrasts with what people see on camera. For the Mykolaiv region this topic has also long been sensitive: Korabelov.info in recent days has repeatedly written about attacks on TCC, corruption, and force-related scandals around mobilization.
Reminder: previously we wrote:
- Knife to the neck during transfer to the TCC: a double murder almost happened

- The SBU detained TCC employees in Odesa who were extorting money
- After the video of shots at a car, the TCC stated: it was not their fighter
- Across the country 620 attacks on TCC: in the Mykolaiv region — 29; in 2025 there was a record 341; in 2026 already 118
