In broad daylight a "Shahed" struck Mykolaiv: private houses severely damaged
No casualties, but new damage: what the "Shahed" left behind in the city
On Sunday, April 19 2026, after the Air Forces reported movement of “shaheds” from the Kherson region, an explosion was heard in Mykolaiv. Later, an all-clear for the air raid was declared in the Mykolaiv district.
A photo from the impact site was published by “Suspilne Mykolaiv”. It later became known that as a result of the daytime attack, 4 private houses in the city were damaged. Also, the strike partially cut power to 2 districts of the city, but energy workers have already restored power to most consumers.
Representatives of the city authorities immediately went to the site. In the damaged homes, broken windows and roof damage were recorded. Most importantly, as a result of this attack no one was killed or injured.
The mayor reported on the consequences of the strike on the residential sector in Mykolaiv after visiting the site together with administration representatives: Oleksandr Senkevych.
“We spoke with residents and recorded all needs. Broken windows were recorded, and the roof was also damaged. Therefore, we will deliver the necessary materials for immediate repairs and help restore the roofs. The most important thing is that there were no casualties or injured”, – the mayor wrote on his Telegram channel.
This strike once again showed the main point: even a daytime drone attack hits not only infrastructure but also ordinary civilians’ homes, whose residents are forced to repair their housing immediately after yet another air raid alert.
