Another night of fire in Russia: four oil facilities are burning after strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine

As reported 18 April 2026 by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as part of reducing the military-economic potential of the Russian aggressor, Defense Forces units on the night of 18 April struck immediately four important oil refining industry objects of the Russian Federation. The General Staff emphasized that all these targets were involved in supplying the Russian occupation forces.

According to official information, fires are raging at the Novokuybyshevsk and Syzran oil refineries in Samara Oblast, at the RPK-Vysotsk “Lukoil-2” oil-loading terminal in Leningrad Oblast, and also at the Tikhoretsk pumping station in Krasnodar Krai. The scale of the damage is currently being clarified.

Separately, the General Staff reported that a number of enemy fuel and lubricant storage sites were also hit in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, in particular in the area of Mariupol. In addition, Ukrainian forces struck areas where the occupiers’ repair units are located near Mangush, Tokmak and Grafskoye.

The General Staff emphasizes: the Defense Forces will continue to strike the enemy’s rear infrastructure to weaken its logistics, fuel supply and ability to continue the war against Ukraine
