Welding ended with a shot to the eye: a 16-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital
Pneumatic weapon in the hands of young people: another conflict ended in a shooting and hospitalization
The report of the incident was received by the police 17 April 2026 at around 20:40. To establish the circumstances, an investigative-operational team from Police Unit No. 3 of the Kryvyi Rih District Police Department was dispatched to the scene.
According to preliminary information from law enforcement, a conflict arose between the young people, during which the young man fired from an air pistol in the direction of the girl. As a result, the 16-year-old victim sustained an eye injury and was hospitalized.
Investigators seized a pistol from the suspect, which the investigation considers the weapon of the crime. The 18-year-old young man was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and it is currently being decided whether to notify him of suspicion under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — hooliganism.
