Late evening, recruitment center and attack: three stormed the servicemen
The Lviv Regional Recruitment and Social Support Center reported that at around 22:20 on April 17, 2026 three people burst into the premises of the Yavoriv Recruitment and Social Support Center and tried to attack servicemen of the guard platoon. According to the agency, the attack was stopped by the servicemen themselves before the police arrived.
Law enforcement were called to the scene. Two of the attackers have already been detained, and one suspect is currently being sought. The statement also notes that a pre-trial investigation is underway, and a court must provide the legal assessment of the attackers’ actions.
The recruitment center separately emphasized that in the conditions of a large-scale war, aggression against Ukrainian military personnel cannot be justified either legally or morally.
