Mass drone attack on Mykolaiv region: energy and critical infrastructure targeted by Russians
In just one day, 17 enemy UAVs were shot down/suppressed in the region
The regional military administration reported on enemy attacks by Russian forces on Mykolaiv region over the past day, as of the morning of April 17, 2026:
April 16 the enemy massively attacked the region with UAVs of the «Shahed-131/136» type. Energy and other critical infrastructure were targeted. As a result of the attack, settlements in Mykolaiv and Bashtanka districts were temporarily left without power.
Mykolaiv district: yesterday the enemy attacked the Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities eight times with FPV drones. As a result of one of the strikes, a private house in the village of Dmytrivka was damaged.
There were no civilian casualties in any of the above-mentioned incidents, – the regional military administration said.
Over the past day in Mykolaiv region there were shot down/suppressed 17 strike UAVs of the «Shahed 131/136» type and various types of decoy drones.
