At an intersection, a VAZ collided with a motorcycle: teenagers injured — a 17-year-old driver and a 15-year-old passenger
Penalty — up to three years' restriction of liberty and deprivation of the right to drive
On Wednesday, April 15, at about 18:45 in the settlement of Arbuzynka in the Pervomaiskyi district of Mykolaiv region, at the intersection of Shevchenko Street and Pishchany Lane, a VAZ-21063 car and a Geon Vertex 300 motorcycle collided — two teenagers were injured.
The regional police reported the incident. According to preliminary data, the accident occurred at a busy intersection within the populated area.
The car was driven by a 19-year-old. The motorcycle was ridden by a minor — he is 17 years old. Both vehicles were traveling on streets in the private-sector area.
As a result of the collision, the motorcycle rider and his 15-year-old female passenger were injured. They were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity. The car driver was not injured.
Investigators have opened a criminal case on signs of violating road traffic safety rules — under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article’s sanction provides for up to three years of restriction of liberty with an additional deprivation of the right to drive for the same term.
Law enforcement officers are establishing all causes and circumstances of the accident; the necessary procedural actions have been initiated.
