Nighttime shelling of Kyiv: 5 killed, including a 12-year-old child; 21 injured, including medics and police officers
In four districts of the capital, residential buildings and two hotels were damaged; two people, including a child, were pulled from under the rubble, and another 10 people were evacuated
After the nighttime shelling in Kyiv, 5 people have been confirmed dead so far, including 1 child; damage has been recorded in the Podilskyi, Obolonskyi, Shevchenkivskyi and Desnianskyi districts.
The State Emergency Service (SES) reported on the consequences of the attack, noting that the data on the number of injured are currently being clarified.
In the Obolonskyi district parked cars were on fire, and a warehouse building, a tire fitting shop and a store were damaged. Preliminary reports indicate 2 people were killed. 6 people were injured, including 4 emergency medical workers and 2 police officers who responded to the call.
In the Podilskyi district at one location the strike hit an open area, which damaged the facades of residential buildings. Under the rubble of one of them 2 dead were found, one of them — a 12-year-old child; another 3 people sustained injuries from glass.
At another site in the same district the facades of two hotels and adjacent buildings were destroyed; 2 people were injured. At another address an explosion occurred in front of residential buildings: facades were damaged, doors in some apartments became jammed, and 3 injured were reported.
There are also reports of a destroyed one-story residential building; 2 people were rescued from under the rubble, including 1 child. At another location the strike hit the 6th floor of a sixteen-storey building; 10 residents were evacuated; there were no fires or injuries.
In the Desnianskyi district a fire occurred in a two-story residential building — no injuries. In the Shevchenkivskyi district impacts were recorded on a children’s playground and near a residential building, also with no injured.
