Easter under fire: Russians launched 17 assaults in the south
A "Russian-style" ceasefire: no aircraft, but plenty of assaults
As of 18:00 on April 12, 2026 the enemy attacked the positions of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine 17 times. This was reported by the press service of the Southern Defense Forces.
On the Oleksandrivsky direction the occupiers carried out 5 attacks toward the settlements of Zelenyi Hai, Oleksandrohrad, Sichneve, Kalynivske and Verbove.
The greatest number of combat clashes was recorded on the Huliaipole direction. There, during the day, 12 attacks occurred in the areas of Zaliznychne, Staroukrainka, Myrne, Varvarivka and Huliaipole.
At the same time, there were no assault actions that day on the Orikhiv and Prydniprovske directions. Also, no enemy air strikes were recorded since the start of the day.
Despite the absence of air strikes, the overall number of assaults indicates that the adversary continues active pressure on the southern sector of the front, attempting to probe the defenses of Ukrainian units on several directions at once.
