A national resistance course with practical firearms training will be introduced in schools and universities: Zelensky signed the law
Provision is made for the creation of specialized training centers and a clear regulation for the use of firearms during training sessions
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law introducing a new model for preparing citizens for national resistance; the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine reported the adopted decision.
The document stipulates that schoolchildren and students, regardless of gender, will undergo a mandatory course “Fundamentals of National Resistance”, which will also include practical training with firearms.
The course will be integrated into curricula at all levels of education — from secondary to higher education, in order to form a unified system of basic training for young people.
The law provides for the establishment of special training centers, as well as the streamlining of rules for the use of firearms to carry out practical exercises as part of the training.
The parliament informed about the introduction of the new model of preparing citizens for national resistance on its Telegram channel.
The Verkhovna Rada’s message separately emphasized the initiative’s goal.
