The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced that for 2 weeks safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz will be possible only with the agreement of the country’s armed forces; at the same time negotiations are expected to start on 10 April in Islamabad.

Speaking on behalf of the Supreme National Security Council, he also noted that, provided the attacks against the country cease, Iranian forces will stop defensive operations.
As K24 writes, the negotiations are to begin on 10 April in Islamabad, with the Iranian side outlining its position regarding further contacts with the United States.
The Council emphasized its stance toward American intermediaries in these consultations.

In a separate statement the Supreme National Security Council said that the US, in the war against Iran, suffered an «undeniable, historic and devastating defeat» and were forced to accept Tehran’s 10-point proposal.
The statement also emphasizes the nature of recent contacts and the sentiments of Iran’s adversaries.

According to the Council, under the leadership of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, the consultations in Islamabad will be dedicated to agreeing on the details and are to be completed within no more than 15 days.
