Trump: Iran has agreed to the majority of the 15 points of the U.S. plan and is already sending oil to the U.S. as proof of its seriousness
According to CNN, a package of U.S. demands was delivered to Tehran via Pakistan; among the items were restrictions on defensive capabilities, an end to support for proxy forces, and recognition of Israel’s right to exist
U.S. President Donald Trump said that Iran has agreed to the majority of the 15 points of a peace plan that Washington conveyed through Pakistan to end the war.
When asked whether responses had been received to the proposed points, U.S. President Donald Trump replied:
They answered us on the majority of the points. Why wouldn’t they do that? They agree with our plan. We asked for 15 points, and for the most part we’re going to ask for a couple more points
Trump also noted that successful negotiations are ongoing between the U.S. and Iran both directly and through intermediaries.
Two regional CNN sources said the package of 15 points proposed by the Trump administration includes restrictions on Iran’s defensive capabilities, an end to support for proxy forces, and recognition of Israel’s right to exist.
Earlier, Trump told CNN that Tehran had committed not to possess nuclear weapons.
