In Mykolaiv Oblast, due to attacks by the Russian Federation on ports, wheat and barley fell to 5–7 thousand UAH/t
The domestic market is oversupplied: 1.6 million tonnes of wheat and almost 600 thousand tonnes of barley have been harvested — 400 thousand tonnes more than last year
In Mykolaiv region in August purchase prices for wheat and barley fell sharply: from 9–11 thousand to 5–7 thousand hryvnias per ton, which is related to a reduction in export capabilities after Russian strikes on port infrastructure and damage to grain terminals.

As of 12 August farmers in the region have harvested over 2,3 million tonnes of cereals from an area of 657 thousand hectares, the average yield is 3,55 tonnes per hectare, which is 400 thousand tonnes more than last year.
Wheat constitutes the bulk of the gross harvest — about 1,6 million tonnes; nearly 600 thousand tonnes of barley have also been gathered, over 100 thousand tonnes of peas and more than 300 thousand tonnes of rapeseed.
The increase in supply of the new harvest against the backdrop of limited port operations is creating additional pressure on the domestic market, resulting in a decline in purchase prices.
