37 lives claimed by Russian missile: Mykolaiv commemorates victims of strike on regional administration
The city remembered one of the most terrible events of the war
In Mykolaiv, people honored the memory of those killed by a Russian missile strike on the building of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration and the regional council.
On the fourth anniversary of the tragedy, March 29, 2026, regional and city officials, military personnel, colleagues, relatives and loved ones of the victims, as well as city residents gathered near the destroyed building to pay tribute to the deceased.
Participants of the memorial event honored the victims with a minute of silence and laid flowers at the site, which has become one of the most painful symbols of the full-scale war for Mykolaiv. Even after four years, the mutilated building in the city center reminds of that morning when a Russian missile struck the administrative heart of the region.
Let us recall that on March 29, 2022, Russian troops launched a missile strike on an administrative building in the center of Mykolaiv. As a result of the hit, the central section of the structure was destroyed from the first to the ninth floors.
At that time, 37 people were killed — employees of the regional military administration, the regional council, the Commercial Court, as well as military personnel from various units who were at their workplaces. Many others were injured.
