Night drone attack on the energy sector: part of the Mykolaiv region was left without power

As of the morning of 21 March 2026, the consequences of an enemy attack on the Mykolaiv region over the past day became known. This was reported by the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kim.

According to him, during the night Russian forces attacked the region with strike unmanned aerial vehicles of the “Shahed 131/136” type. The energy infrastructure was hit.

As a result of this attack, part of the settlements of the Mykolaiv district were left without power. As of the morning, power had already been restored to all consumers. There are no casualties, the report says.

Vitaliy Kim reported separately on the results of the air defence forces’ operations:

“Over the past day in the Mykolaiv region it was shot down/suppressed seven strike UAVs of the “Shahed 131/136” type and various types of simulator drones.”
