Seven fires in the Mykolaiv region were extinguished by rescuers within 24 hours

During 17 and the night of 18 March, units of the State Emergency Service in Mykolaiv Oblast extinguished 7 fires in various communities across the region.

This was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv Oblast, which published a summary on its Facebook page (link).

In the village of Prybuzke in the Halytsynivka community of Mykolaiv Raion, an outbuilding on the grounds of a private homestead caught fire; the fire affected 40 sq. m.

In the village of Konetspil in the Pervomaisk community, a haystack covering 9 sq. m caught fire. Rescuers managed to prevent the blaze from spreading to a residential house and a summer kitchen.

In other cases, reeds, dry grass and rubbish burned, totalling an area of over 3 ha: in the Doroshivska community of Voznesensk Raion, in the Vesnyanska and Kostiantynivska communities of Mykolaiv Raion, in the Arbuzynska community of Pervomaisk Raion, as well as in the city of Mykolaiv itself.

The causes of the fires are currently being investigated. Units of the State Emergency Service were involved in the extinguishing — 21 personnel and 5 pieces of equipment; additionally, the Halytsynivka detachment of the local fire protection service and the “Shcherbani” local fire brigade assisted.
