In April 2026, Ukraine plans to launch the “Industrial Ramstein” program to support enterprises affected by the war; as part of this initiative the first financing agreement for 30 million euros with KfW is being prepared.

According to the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, the launch of “Industrial Ramstein” is intended to accelerate the recovery of businesses and production that suffered damage due to Russian aggression.

The program will be implemented together with KfW through the National Development Institution. The first financing agreement of €30 million is planned to be signed already in April 2026.

Minister Oleksiy Sobolev emphasized that restoring production capacities is of key importance not only for revitalizing the Ukrainian economy, but also for ensuring the stability of European supply chains.

According to the ministry, cooperation with KfW will include a combination of support instruments: grant funding, concessional loans and guarantee mechanisms for enterprises.

During a meeting with a KfW delegation and the head of the economic cooperation department of the German Embassy in Kyiv, Jens Busma, the parties discussed additional sources of financing that could be directed to upgrading industrial equipment in Ukraine.
