In Mykolaiv, overdue consumer debts to Municipal Enterprise “Mykolaivoblteploenergo” totaled UAH 231.3 million as of October 15. The company takes unpaid amounts to court and refers court rulings for compulsory enforcement.

Separately, consumers were billed UAH 29.3 million for services received in September. The deadline for paying these charges is October 31, inclusive.

The company’s work with debtors includes both pre-trial settlement and court proceedings. Consumers are first reminded of their debt and offered restructuring agreements. If the debt remains unpaid, the company takes the matter to court and then refers the ruling for compulsory enforcement.

The results of court proceedings and compulsory debt collection are as follows:

  • In September, courts issued 237 rulings to recover debts totaling more than UAH 2.5 million.
  • Since the beginning of the year, the number of court rulings has reached 1,779, with the total amount exceeding UAH 25.2 million.
  • In September, the State Enforcement Service compulsorily collected more than UAH 2.58 million from debtors.
  • In total, more than UAH 20.68 million has been compulsorily collected since the beginning of the year.

Mykolaivoblteploenergo urges consumers not to let the matter reach a court ruling and compulsory collection. Debts can be settled by paying the amount owed or signing a restructuring agreement.

Timely payments help consumers avoid additional costs associated with debt collection and help the company maintain a stable heat supply to the city.
