In Mykolaiv, plans are underway to purchase additional electricity for street lighting in Varvarivka, Velyka Korenykha, and Mala Korenykha through the end of 2026. The estimated cost of the procurement is nearly UAH 2 million. This is according to data from the ProZorro public procurement system.

A total of 218,600 kilowatt-hours of electricity is planned for the streetlights in these neighborhoods. The supply is to continue through the final quarter of the year, until December 31, 2026.

The procurement documents explain that the additional need arose because the funds and electricity volumes allocated under the previous contract are expected to be insufficient. Mykolaiv Electricity Supply Company has been designated as the universal service provider for these areas.

Earlier, to provide street lighting in Mykolaiv during the last three months of 2026, the company announced two procurements with a combined estimated value of UAH 14.4 million.

In particular, UAH 2.9 million was allocated for electricity for street lighting in the Korabelnyi District, and UAH 11.5 million for the rest of the city. These procurements did not cover Varvarivka, Velyka Korenykha, and Mala Korenykha. An additional procurement worth nearly UAH 2 million is now planned to light these three neighborhoods.

Thus, the total estimated cost of electricity for street lighting across all the specified areas of Mykolaiv during the final quarter of 2026 will be around UAH 16.4 million.

These amounts are estimated procurement values. The final costs will depend on the results of the procedures, the terms of the contracts, and the actual electricity supplied.
