Drones and Missiles for Ukraine: EU Prepares Nearly €3 Billion in Aid
The funds are planned to be allocated as early as next week

Ukraine is preparing to receive new military aid from the European Union, amounting to around €3 billion. The funds are expected to be allocated as early as next week. President Volodymyr Zelensky announced these plans after speaking on October 11 with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
Ursula von der Leyen explained the purpose of the new funding: it will enable Ukraine to purchase drones and missiles.
During the conversation, Volodymyr Zelensky also thanked the EU for its previous tranche of €1.24 billion.
“These funds will strengthen us,” Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized.
In addition to military funding, the parties discussed:
- protecting energy infrastructure;
- additional international assistance;
- Ukraine’s progress toward EU membership.
