The winners of the 2026 city dictation were announced in Mykolaiv

More than 600 participants took part in the language campaign

On the eve of Ukraine’s Independence Day, the Central City Library named after M. L. Kropyvnytskyi in Mykolaiv summed up results and awarded the laureates of the Mykolaiv Dictation-2026.

This year, 612 participants joined the language event. Of them, 74 people wrote the text in person at the library, and another 538 joined online.

The dictation text was dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the Mykolaiv Zoo. Its author was the zoo director Volodymyr Topchii.

The event was supported by the Mykolaiv City Council, the Department for Culture and Protection of Cultural Heritage, TRK «MART» and the City Methodological Center of Club Work.

The participants and laureates of the contest were congratulated by Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych, the head of the Department for Culture and Protection of Cultural Heritage Yuriy Lyubarov and the director of the Mykolaiv Zoo Volodymyr Topchii.

The winners of the Mykolaiv Dictation-2026 were Svitlana Herasymenko and Nataliya Bondarenko. The second place was shared by Valentyna Tarasova, Svitlana Afonina and Anzhelika Voylokova.

An additional nine participants were awarded special distinctions for a high level of literacy.
