Ukrainian singer Olya Polyakova together with her daughter Maria was involved in a road traffic accident on the way to Odesa. The accident occurred late in the evening on 19 August 2026. The artist reported the incident on her official Instagram, posting a video from the scene of the crash.
“We were in an accident. Masha broke her nose. Someone crashed into us. We flew into a ditch” — Polyakova said.
According to the singer, another car collided with the vehicle she was in with her daughter. From the impact, their car left the road and ended up in a ditch. Maria Polyakova injured her nose and teeth. Medics arrived at the scene and transported the girl to the hospital.
Polyakova also showed the other car with damage to its front, headlights and bumper. A man stood next to the car, whom the singer began to film on her phone. According to her, he tried to knock the smartphone out of her hands. Later the artist stated that, according to eyewitnesses, a woman may have been at the wheel of the other car, who allegedly was turning around in the middle of the road. This information has not been officially confirmed.
As of the morning of 20 August 2026 the police had not released a statement about the accident. The exact location of the crash, the causes of the collision, the identity of the other vehicle’s driver and the party responsible for the incident are to be established by law enforcement.
