In the Mykolaiv region, 36 fires were recorded over the past 24 hours: four were caused by Shahed attacks
More than 18 hectares of land burned in one day
15 August and on the night before 16 August in the Mykolaiv region 36 fires were recorded. Rescuers extinguished, among others, fires caused by Russian attacks with “Shahed”-type drones.
Four fires were caused by UAV attacks. In the Bashtanskyi district a farm burned, and dry grass ignited another three times.
Almost all other incidents were related to the burning of dry vegetation, garbage, bushes, reeds and crop residues in open areas and within the residential sector. The most fires were recorded in:
- 10 — in the Bashtanskyi district;
- 7 — in the Mykolaiv district;
- 5 — in the Voznesensk district;
- 4 — in the Pervomaiskyi district;
- 4 — in Mykolaiv.
Overall, over 18 ha of territory burned in the Mykolaiv region.
In the private sector, rescuers extinguished an outbuilding on the premises of a private household in Pervomaisk. The fire area was 150 sq. m.
In the village of Horokhivka of the Voskresenska territorial community in the Mykolaiv district, a wooden annex to a garage was on fire. The fire was extinguished before units arrived.
From the State Emergency Service (DSNS), more than 128 personnel and 32 pieces of equipment were involved. Additionally, the Halytsynivskyi local fire protection detachment and local fire brigades worked:
- «Martynivka»;
- «Shevchenkove»;
- «Oleksandrivka»;
- «Hur’ivka»;
- «Prybuzke»;
- «Zavodske».
