The head of the Mykolaiv Regional TCK and SP, who is suspected of extortion and receiving improper benefits, has been ordered a preventive measure. The official will be held in custody, but the court set the possibility of posting bail in the amount of 4,659,200 hryvnias.

The decision was made by the investigative judge of the Central District Court of the city of Mykolaiv while considering the motion regarding the head of the regional TCK and SP. He is charged with a criminal offense under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

According to the materials of the motion, one of the documented episodes concerns a man who had already been mobilized. The investigation believes that the head of the TCK organized his unlawful return from a military unit for a repeat medical commission. The alleged purpose was subsequently to declare the man unfit for military service.

For this, as stated in the court materials, the official received $5,000.

Another episode concerns three conscripts. According to the investigation, the head of the regional TCK instructed a subordinate to enter false information into the “Oberih” system to remove the men from the wanted list.

For such actions, according to the court report, the improper benefit amounted to $15,000. Part of this sum — $10,000 — was, according to the investigation, later handed over to the head of the TCK.

Thus, from the court’s wording it follows that law enforcement speaks of the actual receipt of $15,000 for two episodes: $5,000 and another $10,000 of the agreed $15,000.

At the court hearing, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional TCK and SP did not admit his guilt. He refused to provide explanations.

The official’s defender asked the court not to grant the prosecution’s motion.

As a result of the consideration, the investigative judge decided to apply the preventive measure of detention to the suspect. At the same time, the court set bail in the amount of 4,659,200 hryvnias.

The Central District Court of the city of Mykolaiv reported the decision on the evening of 14 August 2026.

The day before, on 13 August 2026, law enforcement officers reported the detention of the head of the Mykolaiv Regional TCK and SP while receiving another part of the improper benefit. The report referred to the same episodes with the “Oberih” system and the return of the mobilized man for a repeat medical commission. (Mykolaiv News Today)
