A 14-year-old teenager who ran away from an educational institution was found in Mykolaiv
The boy has been returned to the facility; he is fine
14-year-old ward of an educational institution secretly left its premises in the village of Berizky of the Kryvoozerska community and went to friends in Mykolaiv. The teenager was found and returned to the institution.
On Monday, July 20, in the evening the head of the educational institution reported to Police Department No. 3 of the Pervomaiskyi District Police about the disappearance of the underage ward. Caregivers did not know where he might be.
Operatives and juvenile prevention inspectors of Police Department No. 3 of the Pervomaiskyi District Police began search operations. All police patrols were directed to search for the boy.
Criminal investigation officers from the regional headquarters of the police also joined the search.
During the operational-search activities, law enforcement officers established that the teenager might be in Mykolaiv. He was found with acquaintances in the regional center.
According to the police, the boy explained that he intended to start an independent life and had already found a job. The report states that he left the institution due to a misunderstanding with peers.
The youth was brought to the educational institution. According to law enforcement, he is fine. Explanatory work was carried out with the caregivers and the minor.
The police urged parents, caregivers and legal representatives to pay more attention to communicating with children and their plans. In case a child disappears, law enforcement asks to immediately call 102.
