Municipal Enterprise "Mykolaiv Parks" acknowledged: hazardous trees near the bypass in the Korabelnyi district were not completely removed

In the Korablevnyi District of Mykolaiv, the works to remove hazardous trees along the bypass road have been carried out only partially, although, according to local residents, the corresponding report was drawn up two years ago.

This was stated by the director of the municipal enterprise KP “Mykolaiv Parks” Dmytro Chuchmay stated during an online briefing that took place on 10 June 2026.

The issue was raised by residents of the district who expressed concern about the delay in carrying out the works. People emphasize that old hazardous plantings can pose a danger, because if trees or large branches fall, a tragedy can occur.

Dmytro Chuchmay confirmed that work on this section is currently not fully completed. According to him, the process had to be temporarily suspended due to the presence of higher-priority locations.

“The enterprise’s primary attention is focused on eliminating hazardous trees in places of mass congregation of people, namely in parks, squares, at public transport stops, as well as on sections along main roads where there is an increased risk to public safety”.

At the same time, Dmytro Chuchmay assured that the situation around the bypass road in the Korablevnyi district is under the enterprise’s management control. He promised that the works will be completed in full.

The head of the enterprise also reminded that the removal of green plantings requires following a defined procedure and proper documentation.

According to him, after a citizens’ complaint the company’s specialists check for the presence of an inspection report. If there is no such report, representatives of the Department of Housing and Communal Services and the State Environmental Inspection are involved in the process, and they must provide an official conclusion.

Only after all permit documentation is processed is a tree included in the work plan — taking into account the degree of its hazardous condition.

For residents of the Korablevnyi district this response is unlikely to remove all questions: if the report really has existed for two years, then the main issue remains not the paperwork procedure, but the actual timeline for when the dangerous trees by the bypass road will finally be removed completely.
