Night crash on the highway: a minibus carrying passengers crashed into a tree

In the Mykolaiv district the police are investigating the circumstances of a traffic accident involving a passenger minibus Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, in which three female passengers were injured. This was reported by the Mykolaiv region police.

The accident occurred on 16 May 2026 at approximately 03:25 on highway H-11 “Dnipro-Mykolaiv”, near the turn to the village Mykhailo-Laryne of the Voskresenska community. According to preliminary law enforcement information, the 32-year-old driver of the passenger minibus veered off the roadway while driving. The vehicle then collided with a tree. As a result of the accident, bodily injuries of varying severity were sustained by three female passengers of the minibus – women aged 40, 64 and 71. Medics hospitalized the injured. Currently, according to the police, they are receiving outpatient treatment.

Investigators have preliminarily classified the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation by persons driving vehicles. At present, police are establishing all circumstances of the crash.
