The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated more than 400 million UAH for the installation of 75 block-modular boiler plants with a total capacity of over 372 MW in 5 oblasts — Lviv, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy and Kharkiv.

The implementation of this project was reported by the Ministry for the Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, specifying that it concerns the modernization of thermal infrastructure in several regions of the country.

The installation of block-modular boiler plants will be carried out within the Regional Resilience Plans. The planned equipment is expected to strengthen the decentralization of the heat supply system and increase its reliability during peak load periods.

Regional military administrations and local self-government bodies are required to ensure the commissioning of the new boiler plants before the start of the next heating season.

Vice Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine, Minister for the Development of Communities and Territories Oleksii Kuleba emphasized the urgency of connecting the available equipment.

“There is equipment in the regions that needs to be connected as quickly as possible. Therefore, the Government supported the communities and allocated funds for immediate needs. This will strengthen the resilience of the heat infrastructure and ensure a reliable passage through the next heating season.”

At the same time, the state is directing more than 22 billion UAH of priority financing to prepare for the next heating period. Under this package, the Cabinet has already decided to allocate 12.85 billion UAH to the regions, of which 280.7 million UAH will go to Mykolaiv oblast.

Earlier, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim, reported that preparatory work for the new heating season in the region began in March and includes projects to protect critical infrastructure.
