The Cabinet of Ministers approved a one-time payment of 1,500 UAH in April for pensioners and vulnerable Ukrainians
Yuliia Svyrydenko announced the launch of the program; the assistance is intended for those who need support the most
Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko said that the government approved a one-time payment program: in April pensioners and other vulnerable groups will receive UAH 1 500; in total almost 13 million people are expected to receive the aid.
The head of government emphasized that the support is targeted and takes into account recipients’ income levels, and also outlined the circle of beneficiaries.
“The program is aimed specifically at those citizens who need assistance from the state given their income level. The one-time top-up of UAH 1 500 will be issued in April. It will be received by almost 13 million people: pensioners of retirement age, people with disabilities, low-income families, recipients of basic social assistance, internally displaced persons among social benefit recipients, large families, single mothers”
According to government information, funds will be credited automatically: either to bank accounts or delivered via Ukrposhta. No additional applications or appeals from citizens will be required.
